My favourite conversations on this podcast have been with artists: Fen de Villiers, today’s conversation with Alexander Adams and my upcoming episode with Arthur Kwon Lee. I have something of an artistic temperament, if such a thing exists, and my conversations with artists always touch on themes that are close to my heart, as well as being vital for the future success of the right, not least of all the necessity of aesthetics for life.
Alexander Adams is an artist, critic and poet, based in the UK. He has exhibited his art in the collections of the Victoria & Albert Museum, the National Museum of Wales, Northampton Museum, the Walker Art Gallery and numerous other museums worldwide. He has also published art criticism in books and the press, as well as many books of poetry.
Alexander has had quite the journey as an artist, and that’s one of the principal focuses of our 90-minute discussion, as well as his two art essays for MAN’S WORLD and his upcoming essay on the great early modernist artist T.E. Hulme.
His website is alexanderadams.art and you can follow him on Twitter and Instagram at adamsartist. His essays for MAN’S WORLD can be found in issues 10 and 12, which are available via mansworldmag.online.
