Dan Baltic is a great guy. A really great guy. I’ve been on his New Write podcast at least twice, and had the great pleasure of reading his recent novel Nutcrankr. I may even read it again. If you haven’t already, go out and buy yourself a copy. You won’t regret it. For further reassurance of its quality, try reading Kevin Kautzmann’s review from Issue 10 of MAN’S WORLD.
Dan is as plugged into the dissident-right scene as I am, if not more, and he provides some fantastic recommendations of new writers whose work you should be paying attention to. We talk for an hour about his work and the inspiration behind it, the state of the dissident right, the writer’s calling and much more. These are the types of conversations I always really enjoy, and this one was no exception.
This podcast makes a great companion for my earlier episode with Fen de Villiers. Both guests remind us that the right needs to take culture seriously — far more seriously than it is at present — if it wants to have any hope of defeating its enemies (that’s the left, by the way).
